Transitioning to Retirement
The most important time in an investor’s life is the 10-15 years before they retire. They still have time to recover from any investment mistakes they may have made along the way and it’s often a great time for many families to step up their retirement savings once children have completed college. This is a transitional time and it is critical to have a financial plan in place that informs investors how to get from Point A (now) to Point B (retired). Perhaps more importantly it gives you time to start thinking about what retirement will be for you. On the personal side, what will you do once you have twice as much time to do the things you want to do? And on the financial side, how will you afford to do all of those things you want to do, some of which you’ve never had the time for while you were working? We provide our clients with the personal and financial resources, tools and techniques to prepare to manage their investments wisely through an active retirement that may last as long as several decades.
